GOLF ... There are numerous golf courses in the area. Lakeside Golf is less than 5 minutes away. Pinestone And Blairhampton are other notable possibilities if you just can’t put down those clubs.
HALIBURTON FOREST ... (Wolf Centre, Treetop Canopy Tour, Dogsled Tours) is only 20 minutes away and provides many great opportunities to experience the outdoors in unusual ways.
BUTTERMILK FALLS ... 10 minutes gets you to the short hiking trail alongside the rushing waters of Buttermilk Falls.
HISTORIC LOG SHUTE ... See how the pioneer loggers moved timber from lake to lake. There are several lookouts and interpretive signs to guide you. This is a great locale for a picnic.
ONTARIO WHITEWATER RAPIDS ... Almost daily you can watch novice to Olympic calibre kayakers challenge the courses set in these rapids. For the intrepid adventurer, you might want to check out the caves just along the tricky hiking trail.
HALIBURTON, MINDEN and BEECH LAKE LOOKOUTS... All 3 of these locations give spectacular panoramic vistas of your surroundings. Beech Lake does require a 10 minute uphill hike.
POLE POSITION KARTWAYS ... located 2 minutes south of Minden offers go-karts, batting cages and mini-golf, in the unlikely event the kids get tired of water games in Maple Lake.
SCULPTURE FOREST ... A mere 8 minutes away lies the Haliburton Sculpture Forest. This hiking trail winds through the forest where innumerable outdoor sculptures by local artisans are on open display
SKIING ... The Ski & Snowboard hills of Sir Sam’s Inn are a mere 15 minutes drive from Ninatigo Sunset. PERFECT !!! Ski and then retire to your own cottage for apres-ski beverages and total relaxation.
